Kinnor focuses on physical and mathematical modelling of metallurgical process for designing new processes, better understanding of existing process, operational improvements, and to perform 'what-if' and 'root cause' analyses of problems.
With his perpetual smile and infectious enthusiasm, Kinnor has consulted with major iron and steel companies in North America (ArcelorMittal, Rio Tinto, Gerdau, Severstal NA, US Steel, Hatch) on a number of problems in the area of steelmaking and continuous casting. In the non-ferrous sector, he has spearheaded technology selection and process optimization for some of the largest copper smelters in South America such as Antofagasta in Chile, as well as activities related to Aluminium reduction technology and waste management. Additionally, he has extensive experience in developing corporate Learning & Development programs and in designing and delivering courses in process metallurgy to a wide variety of audience.
With over 10 years of experience in metallurgical process consulting and research, Kinnor has 120 publications to his credit and has presented them at various international conferences across the globe (USA, Canada, Japan and Europe).
